After I got back from work on Friday we drove down to Noosa for a short weekend to celebrate a significant birthday for The Dear Handbrake. What a weekend we chose. I took this shot from one of the cafés on the boardwalk, just out of view to the right was a sign warning of sea-lice which was enough to dispel any idea of diving into the sea although there were plenty of other takers. Sea lice seems to be a catch-all term for various nasty marine beasties. On top of the sea lice, the afternoon temperatures in SE Queensland soared into the high 30s and with apparent temperatures hitting 40°C, Saturday was a stinker of a day. A storm in the late afternoon didn't do a great deal to clear the air but Sunday was, mercifully, a lot cooler. Thankfully our unit was well air-conditioned.
