Date with Dentistry
Prompted by my recent dental issues which are still slowly getting better I've made an appointment to see the Dear Handbrake's dentist later this month.
That will be an interesting experience I'm sure. I haven't been since 1984 (or was it 1983) so it's actually more likely to be a lengthy and painful experience rather than just interesting. Needless to say I'm not really looking forward to this although I'm advised that dentistry has come a long way in the last quarter century. I sincerely hope so because it sucked really badly in the 1970s in the UK.
It's a damned good thing that men don't have babies!

My Seventies dentist was a scary old man who used to say: 'Come here, small boy!' It was all very Dickensian.
I later found that women make gentler dentists. Well, based on a sample group of, erm, one!

I can't disagree with that sentiment, my Dear, but I'll draw little comfort from that particular observation when I'm lying there helpless with horrendously invasive things going on in my mouth.
Indeed, AL. My previous experiences are largely unpleasant, hence the time lag since my last visit.

*heehee* I liked the Handbrake's comment! But I too are not a dental fan. Not for the fact of the pain they may cause but the bloody price!!

Consider yourself lucky. My oldest is a dentist - THERE IS NO ESCAPE!
