A general shot of the market. The setting on this cool, but otherwise fine day, was beautiful. The market takes place in the harbour area on a wide paved road surface, closed for the event. On one side is a row of trees just springing into leaf and on the other there's a magnificent backdrop of some of the old buildings which fomerly served as warenouses and business premises. Many of the old buildings now house pubs, cafes and craft shops all of which add to the general market atmosphere. At other times Salamance Place is pretty much Hobart's restaurant strip.
